The Queens’ College Junior Combination Room (JCR), a.k.a QJCR, is the union of undergraduate students at Queens’ College, Cambridge. It is led by the JCR Committee, elected to collate and express the views of JCR members and enhance the community with social events, welfare initiatives and more, all in accordance with the constitution and policy of the JCR.

This includes lots of different things, from identifying as working class, low income to state comprehensive educated or first-generation university student. Hey, I’m Rob (he/they) the Trans+NB Welfare Officer for this year! When I’m not studying languages, I’m usually playing the sax or trying out a new recipe. My role is to provide support for anyone who needs it, and represent the wellbeing of Queens’ undergrads, especially our trans+ and queer students. This year I want to improve signposting to college/uni support services, and organise relaxed welfare socials.

Hello everyone! I am Fran, and I am the new Queen’s Women’s and Non-binary officer this year! Through my role, I hope to make Queens’ a fun and safe community, that is equal and celebrates all our women and non-binary members. Primarily, I will be running Fem Soc this year, and I hope to honour the previous leader’s work whilst also planning even more fun events for it, so check out the Fem Soc Instagram for updates. I have many ideas I hope to implement such as women’s and non-binary formals, Fem Soc bar swaps, events, and chats as well as much more! I’m Cassidy, a first year Natural Sciences student. My role is Women’s Welfare Officer, which includes making Queens’ a welcoming and happy place to be for everyone, as well as addressing issues that impact the Women of Queens’.

I’m Rohan, a 2nd year computer scientist, and the External Accommodation Officer for this year. I represent all undergraduates in Grange Road, Norwich Street, and Panton Street, and liaise with college staff to help solve any issues people have in the offsite buildings. I’ll also occasionally be organising social events to take place not on the main site. If you have any queries or are aware of any issues in offsite facilities then please get in touch!
